  This was one of the best tours that I have been on. It happened to be a very cold day but we were leaving the next day so it was now or never. The guide and captain were both really excellent. I can’t say enough good things about either. We got to see manatees and the. Captain and guide did all they could to make sure we stayed as warm as we could. We were entertained and again consider this one of the greatest experiences ever!

  Absolutely the highlight of our holidays! Amazing family outing with Dakota and Robert, who both went out of their way to make this an unforgettable experience. Really loved the emphasis that Crystal River Watersports put on respecting the manatees and doing our part to protect their environment. Researched quite a few operators before deciding on Crystal River Watersports, and we were not disappointed -- Highly recommend!!

  Captain Jim and Heather provided a great tour. Not only did we find the manatees but we also were directed to a number of local birds and other wildlife. Heather was very kind and helpful with my younger daughters (8 and 12) and assisted them very well during their swim.

  Great experience, and loved our guide, Bethany! We went on the 11:30am timeslot and saw plenty of manatees. Super fun day!

  We had an excellent day with Vince and Adrienne on our adventure with the manatees. We saw so many manatee that swam right up to us. Appreciate how respectful they are of the animals and their habitst!

  Just an unbelievable experience from start to finish. Guardian guides provided lots of information and assured a safe, respectful manatee swim experience. Leah (guide) and Captain Cody were amazing. Highly recommend this business. 10 out of 5!

  An excellent manatee experience! My mother is a new swimmer and Laura was so patient and encouraging with her in the water, it was super helpful and nice to feel like someone was genuinely looking out for my mom :). Both Captain John and tour guide Laura were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and wildlife and both very nice! I highly recommend taking a tour with them, they will be my go to when friends and family come to visit and want to do something fun :)

  We went swimming with manatees it was great our guide/lifeguard and babysitter Dakota and captain Cody were friendly relaxed and very knowledgeable. They took us to 2 spots and we got to see some manatees very up-close and personal! Would definitely go back again good value for money!

  We did the deluxe manatee tour with Captain Jim and Guide Dakota. It was wonderful! They were knowledgeable about the river, wildlife and goings on of the local area, and we enjoyed learning from them. We had a great time being the only ones out on the water on a beautiful Sunday morning, and Jim and Dakota made the trip fun. When we found a manatee, Dakota helped us get close without putting pressure on the animal and let us know when it was time to swim away to give it space. They emphasized the well-being of the manatees throughout the trip, which we really appreciated. Dakota also took great underwater pictures. Thanks Crystal Watersports, Jim and Dakota!

  I cannot say enough good things about our trip with Crystal River Watersports. We chose this company because they have the Guardian Guide designation. We wanted to make sure the company we went with was respectful of the manatees, and we chose absolutely correctly. We saw multiple other "manatee swim" companies on the water with so many guests and it seemed like they would have a hard time making sure everyone was safe and being respectful to the manatees. We got incredibly lucky that we happened to be the only ones on our tour, due to it being the off-season I believe...but they only allow 6 people per tour max anyway. Our guide Dakota was so knowledgeable about the area and was so respectful of not only the manatees but all wildlife AND people. His love for the area was very obvious and amazing to see. He was also so kind and attentive to us, making sure we were comfortable and safe all along the way. He made sure to check on us multiple times while we were snorkeling and offered to help us stay afloat if needed. He was also super funny and had us laughing the entire trip. Our Captain, Mary was also incredible. Her respect and love for the area and the manatees was also very apparent and she was very determined to find us manatees to swim with. We did have a bit of a hard time locating manatees, but Dakota and Mary made sure we enjoyed the trip anyway, explaining all the cool spots all around the bay area. They were both amazingly respectful of the other swim companies as well, making sure to wait for another company to clear out before taking us to see the manatee we ended up swimming with. Overall, it was a trip we will remember for the rest of our lives. We will absolutely reccommend Crystal River Watersports to others, and if we find ourselves nearby we will be visiting them again for sure!
